I dated a girl from China once, and she gave me a century egg. Oddly, I liked them a lot. Enough so, that when we'd get congee, I'd order it with the egg in there. One of her cousins said to me once that she hated them and couldn't believe a Westerner would eat them. 😆
I bring these back home for my western af family because I live next to a Chinese supermarket. They're weirded out a bit, but we love them and the consensus is they're not really stranger than cheese. A blue cheese like Stilton is probably horrific for the un-initiated.

I already checked all of my usual spots like Yamibuy, Weee, and JustAsianFood, and they seem to be completely unavailable everywhere. Not sure if this is a nationwide supply chain issue or just terrible luck. Third party Amazon sellers have a couple flavors but the prices and shipping costs are outrageous. And their Taiwanese website doesn't seem to ship internationally. Anyone have a good lead on a place to order them online in the USA?
I know this is a year old post but I'm here from google searching just to say that your noodle brand is the only one I've had and then continued to think about years later, the shallot flavor in particular is amazing. I hope one day (maybe once tariffs calm down) we can see it in local asian markets again.

I purchased both bags in Taipei, Taiwan. I shared them with friends at a poker night. Century egg was better than coriander but they were both good.
Those are wild flavors, super cool to see such wild variations on the concept of Doritos.
Man that coriander looks delicious and that century egg makes me want to vomit

I LOVE DTF chili oil and I LOVE Fly by Jing. I haven't compared them side by side to see how similar, but maybe it will do the trick for you. I put it on literally everything.
I understand it with family recipes, but shit - like half of my restaurant budget probably goes to DTF because of this chili oil.

It really was perfect for breakfast (and hangovers) on a recent very drunken trip we took out to the Los Padres National Forest last fall.
We almost always have that on hand here lol My son just had some for lunch! We love it :)
